Do you lose any suction or power with that long of a hose.
Not that I notice.

I do find that the drop from 36 mm to 27mm means that I have more chips escaping from the OF1400 so would like to add another 36mm hose or get my boom arm made so I can use the bigger hose directly with the tools

With the CT22 ETS150 DTS400 Rotex150 Domino and MFK700 there is no problem

Here is a Pic of the current connection from the CT22 to the cyclone

What type of hose are you using on the bright green one?
I have both an AS and a non AS 27mm hose. That one is the non AS version. They are regular hoses and plugit cables with a sheath and shrink to fit tube (not an original idea). The benefits are easy to understand.

Jerome,

Would you mind explaining the jig you're using with the LR32 system?

Take a look at http://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=7718 and if you have any more questions I will be happy to fill in the gaps.

Where do you get the sheath?  I like that idea.

I got the hose wrap from http://cableorganizer.com/uv-reactive/uv-reactive-braided-sleeving.html

and the Shrink wrap http://cableorganizer.com/heat-shrink/heat-shrink2.htm

The idea came from http://festoolownersgroup.com/index.php?topic=1077

the only problem I have is that I want to get a short length of shrink wrap so I can do the 36mm hose and I have only been able to find it in thr States and international shipping from the hose wrap companies is exorbitant (over $40 fora $15 order ???) for small orders.

So if any one is getting some please let me know if you would not mind adding my stuff to your order we can sort out sending the stuff by letter post any help will be gratefully received

Jerome,

Can I ask how much mucking about is involved in putting the hose in the braided sleeve?  I ask because my older Festools (TS-65 and OF-1000) have permanently attached power cords and my newer ones have the PlugIt system.  I really like this idea, but don't have the storage space or budget to fit each tool with its own dedicated vacuum hose!  However if feeding the cord and hose through the braided sleeve is a 30 second job, I could do that whenever switching jobs.

Also, would you share with us where you got the mini-cyclone in the USA?

Feeding the braided sleeve is not something to be done on the fly. However there is nothing wrong with leaving the PlugIt power cable attached to the vacuum hose all the time.

The Mini CV06 Cyclone comes from http://www.clearvuecyclones.com/Order_Page.htm

However having just looked there is a patent dispute with Oneida so they have suspended sales until the dispute is solved.

Thanks, but my jigsaw is really the only tool that I have with the PlugIt, and I hardly ever use it enough to warrant using the vac.  The saw is where I would really like it.  Even with the plastic bit on the end of the rail, it seems like the vac hose hooks something at the most inappropriate times.  [blink]

By the way, I'm a diver, too.
