Context:

I am planning to install a closet system in my reach-in closet.

I can buy 16” nominal melamine covered particle board sheets that are pre-drilled for 32mm spacing.

I am planning a combination of shelves, drawers and closet poles (for hangers).

Question:

Do all drawer slides mate up to these pre-drilled holes?  Or only specific ones.

The boards I will be using are 16” nominal (15.75” actual).  What size drawer slide do I use for these?  14” or 16”?

The pre-drilled melamine boards I recently bought from Menards on clearance were 14" nominal and pre-drilled for 14" slides.

I determined they were the right spacing for slides that I already had on hand by measuring center-to-center on the slide, then the same on the board.

I would imagine the 15.75" uses 16" slides, based on the way the spacing looks on the holes (14" slides would be much further from the edge), but I would measure.
