I'm intrigued by the idea of adding the CMS router table to my shop.

I have the 2200, 1400, and 1010. The 1400 is my go to router for every day work and I'd hate to have it "locked up" in a router table. Buying the 2200 was a mistake as I never use it.

I'd buy the CMS in a second if I could use the 2200 in it.

Any predictions on the CMS being married to the 2200.

The OF 2200 fits the CMS perfectly.  The issue is that the power switch on the CMS is rated to 15 amps only, and the OF 2200 can draw 20 amps at 110 volts.  Until Festool finds a switch that can sustain a 20 amp draw AND get it approved by UL, the CMS won't be approved for use with the OF 2200 in NA.  That's the bad news for now.  [sad]

Just a reminder, that's all speculation. Festool hasn't confirmed any of this. Don't let speculation become fact.

Only thing that's safe to say is: don't hold your breath.

Sounds like a $20 issue. Just install your own non Festool switch (OMG!  [scared]). There are plenty of those on the market.

Yup.
