hi all

im looking for a router table to house my of2200

if you had the of cms available would you buy it over a other router table? if you had the option?

those who have the of cms would you buy it again or go for something else?

ive read about dust getting into the router but thats a fault of the router not the cms

I replaced my Freud router table with a CMS. I'm very happy with it, although I wish the OF1400 could handle 3" diameter bits so I could use them in the CMS. With an OF2200 you would have no such problems.

I have the OF2200 and the CMS table and having used a variety of purchased and self made router tables over the years believe it to be the best system I have used. Set up time gets reduced with practice but that is a relatively mute point as the ease of use and accuracy saves much more time.

would a piece of tape covering the ratchet spindle help?

think im going to order 1 when i get payed off this job i only really use the of2200 for worktops atm and i dont do them everyday so may aswell use it in the table.

It's a fine router table but it's nice to have the option of turning into saw table  [smile]

I have no problems at all running a 72mm bit in the OF1400,in any case anything bigger would foul the fence.

I have the CMS for OF2000  having used and made my own table the CMS system, is by far the best I have used.
I also bought the extention table and the sliding table a must if you can afford

thats alot of pennys for a router table, im sure lastyear you could buy the cms/of insert and the of2200 router for like £1300?

that swhat i just paid for mine. You will have to find somewhere with it in stock as it is discontinued as a set now
