I posted this in the Other Tools section not knowing if it was better to ask a question about a CMS vs. other tables/fences here or there.  Thought I would post a link here in hopes of maximizing feedback.  Please feel free to chime in here:

Mods if its agains the rules to cross post like this or if this just causes bad karma please just delete this thread.

I have the CMS, but I also have a router mounted under the wing of a tablesaw.

CMS is great for it's dust collection and I love the smoothness of the Festool router under the table.
I also like the sliding table.  Makes routing large panels or the ends of rails for rail/stile construction easier
I also feel like the CMS is a safer table than my previous one.  Partly the guards, partly the smooth and variable speed operation of the Festool Routers.

It's shortcomings are two in my mind -

- the fence adjustment is a challenge for repeatable incremental adjustments.  Some have gone with the CMS attached to the MFT/3 table and adapted an Incra fence to it.
- no slot for a sliding miter gauge.  This makes adapting things like a finger-joint jig really a challenge with the CMS.

Previous to the CMS, I had a Jessum table.  I'm glad I upgraded to the CMS, but still use a PC router in my tablesaw extension table on occasion.

Like Neil, I have the CMS and am very hap-hap-happy with it.  The only criticism I have is that there is no hold-down for the sliding table.  I fabricated one with a Bessey flip clamp and some assorted hardware.  I made a few suggestions to The Sedge on my way through Indiana, but I don't know if Festool has done any engineering on them.
