Hello
I have a mft3 with the vl extension that takes modules.
Can a non festool router be fitted to the router module, i have a triton tra001.
I realize i wouldn't be able to use the above table festool lift winder unless i drilled a hole for the triton one.
Going by pictures it looks like i could just use them clamps on the bottom of the router module?
I currently have the router on this module http://www.tritontools.com/en-ZA/Model/TWX7RT001 balance between 2 stacks of systainers lol. maybe i could modify this module to fit in the mft/vl..
any thoughts?

Thanks

The Festool CMS router winder will work fine with the Triton TRA001.  Just keep rotating the router and reattaching with the three Festool router clamps until the height adjustment tab grabs onto the Triton.  Takes 15 min to figure out the correct position.

IIRC, it will grab onto the top of one of the spring housings.  Can't remember for sure though.

Make sure to remove the Triton's springs, too, in addition to clamping the height down when adjusted.

wow cool i never knew it would work in the cms :)
Thanks for that Steve.
Is this the setup you have? if so any pics  [big grin]

I don't have the CMS.  I just brought my Triton TRA001 into a Festool dealer to test it out... for an eventual purchase.

The price keeps scaring me away no matter how many times I keep considering it.

Yes it's pretty pricey for what it is but hey you only live once make the most of it  [big grin]
I think i'll see if i can fit my current triton module with fence etc into the mft3 vl, If i make a mess of it or it just plain sucks i'll order the festool module unit with an eventual purchase of a incra router fence for it.
I also just ordered the festool sliding table for the VL, man that thing looks sweet.
:)
