So I guess this table is catching my interest. I do own a kreg router table with the PRS3000 lift and have a porter cable 3.25hp 7518 router mounted in it. I also own an OF1400 router. Question, will the Festool blow my Kreg out of the water on every assignment or should I just keep what I have.

thx

If the assignments are 'on site' then yes I think the CMS may get the nod.

If the assignment is 'in the shop' then I think your Kreg is still a very strong contender that's paid for.

What does the Kreg not do that you'd like to do?

The only way to decide about the CMS with an OF1010 or OF1400 router mounted is to try one at a dealer.

In Festool classes I have used the CMS with both the OF1400 and the OF2200. My preference is for the OF2200. Personally I see no reason to use a router with less than 3.25 hp in a router table. On trips to Europe I have used the CMS with OF2200 many times. For an easily transported system it was very impressive.

Going back to when PC introduced the 7518, I have owned those. In 2006, when I bought my first Festools, I already owned 6 of the 7518. Since then I have added more of the 7518, in addition to my fleet of Festool routers.

I own 4 router tables with lifts in my shop, in addition to a large tilting arbor shaper. Cabinet makers working for me do hardly any on-site fabrication, so I have limited need for a portable router table. So currently I have not budgeted the purchase of the CMS.
