???

Does anyone know of any set up videos for inserting the festools into the modules?

Particularly interested in the OF 1400 in the router module and the TS55 saw?

I have looked on youtube and searched the FOG using keywords "CMS video set up" ?

Any advice would also be appreciated//Venk [big grin]

Brain went through the OF1400 CMS set up in th Doors and Drawers class last week.  From his lecture it sounds like the OF2200 is a better selection  for the CMS as to change the router bit in the OF1400 you need to remove the router/insert each time. When you are using the OF2200 you can change the bit above the table with out removing the insert.

it is not correct, that you have to remove the of 1400 to change the router bit. its perfectly feasable when it is mounted in the table.

Just passing on what we were shown at the Festool class.

A bit late, but just completed my first successful dry run of both the CMS-TS55 and CMS-OF with a OF1400 setup in my brand spanking new CMS-GE.

About the TS55 setup video you can watch the TS75 video here - the TS55 setup is identical.

If you haven't found a video on the CMS-OF setup I might make one some time. Its a bit more fiddly than the saw setup, but once you figure which insert and depth-setting place of the metal bit fits your router it's just clamp down, and screw & position the fence.

I'm thoroughly & positively surprised with the solidness of this modular system. Heck, the router module with its fence alone weighs almost as much as the whole of my old Woldcraft Mastercut 1000 workbench guess which one does not wobble!

Looking forward to Monday when I get my MFT/3 which I hope will run circles around that old rubbish bench of mine  [drooling]

I posted a couple of videos on the CMS OF on youtube.

One tip I have is to write with a felt tip pen which end of the registration piece goes into the CMS base plate. The larger end is for the 2200 and the 1400 and the other end is for the 1010. Also, when you are clamping down the OF1400 into the base plate, there is one position where one of the clamps can interfere with the right hand screw of the fence. You want to ensure the clamp is not covering the screw hole for this screw.
