CMS throat plates

I own a CMS and use a 1400 router with it.  I purchased a router extension like the one you see in the attachment to make changing bits easier.  The throat plates that come with the CMS have too small of a diameter in the opening to allow it to pass through or they are too large.  I need a 1-1/2" or 38mm opening to leave the smallest opening possible while allowing the extension to freely move up and down.  Does anyone know if Festool sells throat plate blanks where I could drill a custom opening in it?  Thanks.

No, we don't sell throat plate blanks. All of ours are molded to the existing diameters.

Thanks for your question.

Could you just increase the diameter of the stock throat plate to whatever diameter you need?

That was my last option.  I was hoping to not cut into the stock plate i case they can be used for template bushing guides etc.  But going to try to build a wood plate for it.

Festool probably sells replacement plates (not blank). Anyway, laminate flooring is a good material for those rings due to its wear resistance.
