Hello everyone recently purchased a CMS -TS-55 insert to attach my TS 55-EBQ track saw to my VL-MFT/3 table and there is a small Black plastic festool attachment that I cannot identify what it is ? and where it is supposed to go ? Product # is 469661 and it was attached to the plastic clip that overrides the trigger button on my TS -55 track saw .
I have attached a photo of the part in question ./Users/kengrinter/Downloads/IMG_7780.HEIC

According to german Festool EKAT #469661 does not exist.

Please try again with your photo.

If so, it’s for older TS and attaches to rear of blade guard - locking riving knife I think.

It goes in the slot that the riving knife guide rides in.

Normally you get a manual with it and it is explained in there.
If you don't have the manual you can download the one for the TS75 insert here:https://ekat.festool.de/login/jsp/m...=Kunde-FT_AU&password=Customer&design=festool

The TS75 has the same parts as the older model TS55 (TS55EBQ) except everything is bigger.
The latest TS55 (TS55 Rebq) has different parts (and manual)

The previous posts are right, it goes in the slot where the screw of the riding knife rides in and it blocks the riving knife from moving. (If you use the saw in normal mode (handheld) the riving knife is spring loaded in order to make plunge cuts)

Hope this helps.
