I just got the CMS insert for my ts 55 REBQ saw and am very pleased with it so far. The guard on the riving knife does however have an oval port for the vacuum hose and my, also new, y-hose kit has the new bayonette style connector. That connector is a bit stiff and fits very poorly in the oval hole, making it an unsustainable solution.

As I googled it a bit I noticed that the precisio saws have a slightly different guard with a round hole in it. Would it be possible to mount the precisio guard on the TS55 module riving knife? That would be a nicer solution than to get an older connector for the hose and switch that out everytime I switch tools.

I just bought a CMS and I'm having the same thoughts. That oval hole in the guard is a joke considering what this setup costs. My riving knife didn't line up either causing the material to bind against the fence. I had to take the knife out and bend it slightly, following Peter Parfitts ideas on another thread. This worked and the saw isnt binding now.

Also having fun with the router module, there's a part that sits on the raise and fall mechanism and it must have been drilled in the dark lol. The hole is oval shaped (very poor).

The screws that lock the plate in to the CMS are not working, I turn them as far as they go and they are still rattling so loose that I can turn them with my thumb and the module moves side to side.

Messaged festool UK on Twitter but haven't had a reply.
