???

I am puzzled, I have seen some oil drip out of my TS55, while it was upside down in my CMS unit in my garage for a week or two, admittedly the temperatures have been up there, but wondered if anyone else had had this problem.

Also is there a limit on how long you can leave the saw upside down in the CMS unit?

Is my saw in need of supplemental oil?

Photo below is not great but just about shows a light tan colored oil drop at the very bottom of the festool greenpart of the handle

Appreciate any advice

Hi Venk.

I have never this issue before.
I will check my CMS-TS 75 tomorrow night and  get back to you.

Temperatures here in Gold Coast, Australia vary from 5 Celcius to 35 Celcius.

Regards, Justin

I did notice some oil-like goo that came out of the little vent next to the handle the other day. Before that, I'd used my poor TS-55 to cut thick oak, so I assumed it had just cried a little, wiped it clean and have not seen any more since.

:-\

I noticed the same problem with the TS75 mounted in CMS. Not sure where it comes from. Normally no sign of any 'oil' leakage. I think we must wait for an answer from the Festool guys...  [poke]
