Bob, It looks like it is a first class reel.  Can you tell me if, in your opinion, the cord is the stuff that will stay flexible in colder temps?  Also, does the plastic housing articulate within the steel frame?

Hi Mike,

It is a first class reel. I am not at the shop today but will check

Tomorrow for you.

Mike, I am thinking it will stay flexible, but never had it out of my shop. I think it would depend on what temp we are talking about.
No, it does not articulate within the frame.

Bob:

If you look at the insulation, it should tell you what type it is. Like the Festool cords are SO cable. Knowing that, you can determine how it will react to the ambient conditions.

Mike,

The cord insulation is SJTW and will  look to the codes to decipher the lingo.

It looks to be suitable for wet locations and sunlight exposure, rated @ 105 centigrade.
I don't see a listing for how pliable it is in cold weather, but what type of temps are you subjecting it to? 32f? 0f? -20f?
