Coloured T-Locs

Is that green a darker green than "Festool green"?

it looks like it doesnt it, im sure you can only get the festool green latch from festool as a spare part

here is a little pole for everyone, if you are a little crazy and store all your "other" tools in systainers, do you color code the latches/handles to the tools?

do you buy tanos brand systainers for your "other" tools so it dosent say festool

or do you just keep everything looking the same with all festool systainers?

my OCD is in overdrive.. i just started to convert all my other tools, i thought i would keep everything looking the same all in festool systainers (and have started that way) but now im questioning myself

I’m one of the wackos thrilled to have the T-loc latches available over here now.  Whee!

Another user revealed that you can separate the “frame” of the latch from the middle, thus allow mixing and matching of colors on the latch.  I.e. red and white; black and orange (can anyone say FEIN?)

That green is named “Emerald Green” from other sites, and definitely is not the Festool green.

I keep everything in festool systainers, that's what my local dealer stocks. I use the accessories label on the Festool website to make custom labels for everything.

apart from latch colour and labeling the tanos systainers are identical....and cheaper. It's a box....

I still like the colour coding on the latches though. great find and about time.

color coding with new midi II

You should have a wide load sticker on that midi!    im liking the color coding and excellent job on the labels  to make the Kreg or Fein label, do you just photoshop the Festool label that they have on their site or is there an easier way?

What kind of layout do you have in the Kreg and Fein systainer?  would you mind sharing pic's?  maybe THIS thread would be a good place for the pictures of the insides

Nice job!

Nice labels Matt. Finally somebody who changes the original Festool labels according to the other brands colours and logos.
The colour of the labels matches the T-Loc handles from Fein and Kreg very good.

I'll be doing some change overs to systainers for other tools this winter, nice to know I can get the colored latches here. Will probably stay with the white boxes though, not a fan of those black ones I see, too hot in the sun.

LV also does a sys 1,2 and 3 in black and orange.  Same as their MFT accessory box.  I have a couple

Nice find!  I have 3 sustainers with tools that are not Festool.  However I'm hoping that all changes at some point in time:) For years storage has always been a choir. I'm in the remodeling business so clean, organized and efficient stacking/packing is a must.  So when all manufactures started using bags I was like WTF.  I've bought countless Plano toolboxes over the years and they stack and sort well for the money, but its pretty comical watching someone try and carry more than 2 at one time!  Sustainers or the Tannos (excuse my spelling If I missed that) are the best.  Excited to see the colored T-locks..

I haven't found the tanos sustainers to be cheaper. Usually they have been the same or slightly more than the festool

I've been swapping out colored latches on my t locs to be more organized on the fly. I'm still in the transition process but so far I've swapped all of my drill & drill related systainers to anthracite with orange latches and handles so that I can glance and know I'm in the right direction of what I'm after!

More to come...baby steps!
