This is my first post and my first Festool project. Although I have a fully equipped cabinet furniture shop (1500sq. ft.) I needed a workshop in my florida home. It's the typical two car garage so I thought it would be time to go to Festool. I bought a TS55, a MFT/3, a Rotex 150 and a CT22 on Craig's list. The MFT was great but I needed it to be more more mobile in the garage and provide more storage. The design/idea came from other MFT benches I saw here in the FOG. The project was done entirely with the Festool tools I have and a Kreg pocket hole jig. No table saw etc..etc.. The casters are double locking 4" swivels. The 28" full extension slides are attached to the trays using 1/16" by 1" aluminum angle with 1/8 inch hardboard bottoms which minimized the wasted space. There is room for 8-10 systainers depending on their size. This allowed three 9" deep drawers on 8" full extension slides on the end. Depending on what size systainers there is room for up to two more trays. I am still working on a removable extension table for the right side of the table to provide more support. I will use one of the original MFT legs for the outer support of this table. I am also working on plans for a second MFT (build my own table with a MFT replacement board) that will have a router table in one end. The finished table is the same height as the original MFT. The project was fun to do. Great way to learn the tools and a bit of a challenge to work out how to do it without my full featured furniture shop. Now I need a few more Festool tools, perhaps a router and a Domino.

Dean
