Hi all

New here so hopefully I have directed this post to the right area!

I am hoping someone will be able to help me with trying to connect my ctl26 to a rigid pipe which is in turn already connected to a small cyclone separator already installed in my workshop. Is there a possibility of buying the connector without the hose? I have looked everywhere I can think of and can’t seem to find just the hose end to extractor coupling piece.

Thanks!

You want to connect the pipe directly to the vac port?

I did mine with 2" PVC conduit. But you have to shave the outside of the conduit down to get it to fit. Depending on your set up this can be a nuisance to connect / disconnect when changing the bags or moving the vac. I have changed to a short (2') piece of shop vac hose between the vac and the PVC pipe. The hose fits the vac port and the other end goes to a shop vac connector on the end of the PVC. You have to shave the PVC to fit it into the connector. The hose makes it easier to disconnect.

That’s great thanks. Space is a bit of an issue so a short piece of hose sounds like a plan.

In the picture of the hose connections ...............................

The black coupler connecting the hose to the pipe is a regular shop vac coupler. In that particular case I used a heat gun to expand the coupler to fit over the pipe rather than shave the pipe down. It almost fits, so a little heat to soften the plastic while pushing it onto the pipe worked very well.

The end connected to the vac is cobbled together a bit from old hose parts. But a regular shop vac hose end will fit directly.
