Connecting hoses and cords to boom arm hoses and cords

I have a boom arm on my MFT/3, and the 36mm hose installed.  Sometimes I need to cut something that won't fit on the MFT (e.g. a 24" x 24" plywood piece.  I have to make these cuts on the floor, and the hose and cord aren't long enough.

I have both an extra 36 mm and 27 mm hose.  Is there an EASY way to connect either one to the boom arm hose without unscrewing fittings or anything like that?

Is there an "extension" cord that plugs into the plug its?  Working with these larger pieces would be so much easier if I could just easily extend what comes off my boom arm and remove as needed.

Thanks!

if you have an extra hose could you not plug it into the vac and forget the boom arm for those operations.
take the 2 ends off (or measure them) and go to your local dc supply place or plumbing supply place and see what you can come up with
if all else fails get one of the dc bags that you get with planers , chopsaws, etc . most just push onto the dc port and work a treat for a few cuts.

The easiest way for your situation may be to simply disconnect your hose and plug-it installed on your Boom Arm where they connect with the D50 hose and power cord (that are supplied with the Boom Arm) and connect your other hose and cord at that location.  This way you can leave the hose and cord installed on your Boom Arm in place and ready to reconnect when you are done with your floor work.

You could instead elect to simply unplug the D50 hose and power cord where they connect to the vac and plug your other hose and cord there while you performed your floor work.  The only advantage to my first suggestion is that it allows you to leave the heaver power cord (that comes with the Boom Arm) plugged in -- removing and reinserting the power cords into the vac's power outlet has proved to be problematic for many, and leaving the heavier cord plugged in eliminates this possible issue.

Another option is to add onto the end of the D36 you already have hanging off your Boom Arm.  For the hose, you can plug the Non-Antistatic Hose Reducer into the tool-end fitting of the D36 hose that you currently have installed on your Boom Arm and then plug a second hose into the Hose Reducer.  Careful with this option, as it can be difficult to connect the Hose Reducer into the D36 tool-end fitting.  Also, since the Hose Reducer is non-antistatic, you may experience the effects of static buildup.  And, as for the power cord, you can add a "y" splitter where the heavier power cord supplied with the Boom Arm terminates so you can plug you plug-it cord AND a standard extension cord there.  You can hang this extension cord from the second set of cord hooks on the Boom Arm and plug another plug-it into the end.  Now you have a hose and cord that will extend beyond the end of the hose that you have already installed on you Boom Arm.

Thanks.  I was hoping that Festool had already devised a solution to this problem.  Unhooking hoses and adding Y adapters and such seems a bit ad hoc, at least in my opinion.
