Does the TI 15 maintain the 2600 rpm stated in the specs when connected to the depth stop chuck? If so it would make a decent cordless drywall screwgun for smaller jobs, nowhere near the 4500rpm of a regular drywall gun but still pretty quick.

I'm not sure on the exact specs but I used mine to hang 15 sheets last week and it worked great. A whole lot better then tripping over a cord all day!

I'm not sure if the rpm is the same or not.  The problem I see is excessive length (and weight) of the adapter and the depth stop chuck added to the impact.

Ya, thanks Shane, now those are speeds that will work for me. My poor old "blue" drill just doesn't have that speed and now that the batteries are getting tired... well

I'm thinking of making this tool my next Festool over the 55 Track Saw. I have a CXS that I love for light duty jobs. It's over a year old and still on it's original charge. I also just got a T18 that is not what I expected, but I could use an impact driver. I can use a lower voltage battery, but not an 18v on it?

That's right, you can only use a 15 or lower volt battery in the Ti15.

Thanks Brice. I went ahead and ordered the Ti 15 set, but they are out of stock. That's cool, my credit card needs to cool down a little anyway.

So, it looks like the drill lineup has changed quite a bit.  In the C & T series not including the CXS, I thought i recalled there being a C & T in each of the voltages, 12, 15 & 18 offered with both a basic and set config.  In addition, there was the Ti15 in both a basic and set config.

Now, with the advent of the 4.2Ah battery intros, the lineup has only 1 model of C grip (offered in both basic and set), no changes to the T grip models except where the 4.2Ah batteries have been added and the Ti15 is no longer offered in the basic (a sys3 with no batteries/charger).

Am I reading correctly that the C12/C18 models have been dropped along with the basic Ti15?

Just trying to make sure I understand my options.  Seems like the Ti15 Basic would be a nice option if one was considering getting the C15 set.  Will the new batteries/charger fit in the now discontinued Ti15 Basic?

I am by no means the expert on this but I am researching / trying to decide on the some of the same products, in particular the T15 set + TI15 basic.

On the Festool Canada website I found what I think is the "new style" TI15 Basic # 564526, so maybe it is not discontinued just updated. 

The previous TI15 Basic was 564358.  Since this is just the tool, drill/driver adapter and bit holder I would love to know what is the difference between the previous and new style.  I thought maybe the T-Loc but even the previous version supposedly came in a SYS 3 TL.

I don't remember Festool ever offering a C18. I'd grab one if they did!

I received the hybrid for Christmas. First impression was that it is heavy for a 15 volt drill and unbalanced with the impact damper installed.
Can someone confirm that the only other tool this battery is designed for is a light and the jigsaw, but at reduced power.
Can someone confirm the performance of the jigsaw on the 14 volt battery?

Can someone explain the advantages of Centrotec over the bits and chucks I currently use? And do they last 2 times as long as other quality bits?
90% of the bits I use are a #2 square Robertson.  I can't seem to find the impact ready version of #2 Robertson on Lee Valley or Ultimate Tools sites, only the regular Centrotec, am I missing something?
