Hi everybody. I am on the fence on purchasing a Planex. Currently I build 2+ spec homes a year and pick up 1-2 full rehabs I keep for rentals. I sub out all my drywall work but that doesn't eliminate sheetrock repairs for missing wires/plumbing and the usual BS that goes along with construction.
I have an upcoming remodel project- 4000ft2 home that needs updating- 2 full 1- 1/2 baths/add a bath/Kitchen and everything else. Some ceiling work. My guys normally use the Festool hand sand vacuum attached rs2 and ls130 paper size sanders. I have 2 midi's and a 36 but I will most likely pick up the 36AC regardless of the planex purchase because drywall does kill my Midi's/36 useful bag life with the hand sanders.
I can understand where it would save time doing an entire house but not sure if the dust collection and time saved would be worth the probably $1400 investment after factoring in accessories and paper. We are talking about a lot of little areas. Budget for the job is generous but already picking up a 36AC/ Duo syslite and possibly the HKC.
Thanks
