Hello everyone!

I have a problem: my Conturo Edge Bander broke down. When it reaches a temperature of 165°C, it shuts off. I had the opportunity to take it to a service center, where they diagnosed a faulty electronic board (part number 499767). The board was purchased, but after replacing it, the tool did not start — an error appears for which I cannot find a description. The problem is further complicated by the fact that the tool is located far from civilization, and it’s now impossible to take it back to the service center. What could be the issue?

Error code 99 seems to indicate a possible cooling fan failure or being stuck from debris or glue. Have you opened this part up and ensured it's clean?

Thank you for your response. Yes, everything is clean, and the fans are working. If I don't replace the board, the device works but shuts off when it reaches 165°C. But if I replace the board, this error appears immediately.

Weird. I'd say maybe it needs a system reset to properly recognise the new board but there isn't a system reset as such for that unit from what I can see.

It sounds like maybe a sensor or PTC (thermistor) is faulty, but surely this would be part of the new board I would have thought. Is there other components or circuitry in the unit other than the the control board?

If it's shutting down at a specific temp, you could test the sensor by leaving the unit open and blowing cold air from a hair dryer onto a section at a time to see what it does.

Yes, that's an idea, I'll try it. I really want to reset it, but it seems there's no such option.

Here's the entire schematic of the device. I'd like to know the nominal values of the components so I can run diagnostics, but I can't find that information.
