Hello everyone, new member with a question. Purchased Conturo recently and used it with good success on few projects. Currently working on a closet which is made with laminate material and PVC edgeband, and ran into an issue which Festool tech support wasn't really able to help me with.
First problem was when I tried using thin .018 edgeband which my laminate supplier uses. I can't get the temperature set to be able to use it. It's either too hot and it melts the edgeband. Or too low, and no glue actually gets applied to edgeband when it goes through the machine. It seems like I have to be at minimum of 340F to get correct application of glue. Which I'm confused about, just like Festool support was, since the glue is rated for as low as 190F. I'm attaching a picture.
Second 'problem', is when I switched to 1mm edgeband. I don't have the above issues, but the line between the edgeband and laminate seems much more visible to the naked eye and it bugs me. I tried different glue amounts and different temperatures in hopes of eliminating it, but can't make it go away. Am I just exaggerating and this is just what it is, or am I doing something wrong? Picture attached as well.
Will be grateful for any comments or tips.
