Conturo error code 9

Hi all.

My Conturo has started to come up with error code 9 then shuts itself down,anyone know what this is?  it will be going back to Festool but I’m pretty sure it’s out of warranty now so was wondering how scared I should be of the repair bill!

We’ve just taken delivery of our conturo today, our local rep brought it in and advised us that a few machines were getting error codes and not running due to dust and debris getting into the fans inside the machine. Aparently there are three fans and if obstructed or blocked/ gunked up the fans will need replacing as they won’t operate and hence neither will the machine... I don’t know if this is specifically error code 9 but if you have no fan noise coming on when trying to turn it on I’d guess it’s that...

Our rep advised us to make sure the machine is kept clean and away from sanding and routing dust as much as possible. Basically stating that it’s a machine designed to glue edgings on and as a result shouldn’t really be in contact with that much dust and other contaminates. Obviously in the real world you can’t avoid it completely but I took note of what he said!
