Cord Wrap won't fully tighten on CT 26 Dust Extractor

I just received my new Festool CT 26 Dust Extractor and one thing I noticed when setting it up was that the plastic Cord Wrap that attaches to the back won't fully tighten onto the unit.  I am afraid to drive the screw too hard and break something but the wrap is still a bit wobbly.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Otherwise I really like the unit.

Thanks

I just got mine as well. I used my CXS to drive in the screws. They were a tight fit and doing it by hand didn't work.

I  have a CT 36 it didn't work any better. So the cord and the hose go in the hose garage. Both fit fine.

Thanks.  I am going to call Festool.  Also, I am taking a weekend class on using Festool tools and it is taught by a Festool trainer I believe.  I may take my CT 26 with me and ask him to look at it.

Thanks.

That sounds like you might have crossthreaded and/or stripped something. If it's something you broke and they won't fix, pack a little epoxy putty in there, drill it out and re-tap new threads.

Thanks for the suggestion.  I must say I was very careful about not over drilling or not drilling the screws anything but straight in because I did not want to have a problem with this expensive of a vacuum.  I hope this is not the case.  If so, I must say this is a design flaw with the vacuum because I was very careful.

Thanks again.
