Cordless Dust Extractor?

I suspect they're developing some sort of portable rechargeable power bank rather than a cordless vac.  Something like this perhaps?  Been around for a few years now.

As for cordless vacs, I think the current "state of the art" is the new 2 x 18 V Starmix/Cordless Alliance Vac. has this sewn up with their near-corded performance;  4000 L/min, 240 Bar Vac., Capacity; 25 L, runtime;  up to 100 mins & auto on/off operation; via tool-mounted remote vibration sensor.

66 mm depth of cut on a cordless guiderail saw and also a cordless class M extractor is fairly going some.

Persosonally I really like the idea of the Festool T loc vac but cordless and class M.
I have a CTM26 which is a great machine in sites where theres good power and not many stairs to climb but those are kind of rare and theres usually lots of stairs/scaffold to climb or poor power distribution to get around.

Some main contractors seem to manage to have all those issues on one site.

Would be really cool if Festool did bring out an 'independent' Sys 3 battery dust extractor.  Would be so convenient when paired with a cordless power tool of whatever sort. Could see ordinary trades-people really going for that, rather than the expensive power bank.

That rolling Metabo vac has three speeds. It requires two 10 amp batteries to run 100 minutes on low speed.

I have the smaller almost Sys Metabo cordless vac that has two speeds and uses a single 18v battery. Has a very small bag and doesn’t run very long. I think Makita has the best stuff at this point.

A battery Systainer, say the thickness of the new Organizer, that could turn on a CT-Sys by Bluetooth would be a take-my-money item for me. It could have a short pigtail to power the CT and charge itself (or even better, run *and* charge) off wall power. A user could T-lock it on top or below the vac.

I'd agree that the smaller 18v vac is pretty "compromised", but the new Starmix one is a proper 25L tool with similar capacity, capabilities & performance to their corded range.  That vibration sensing auto on/off function also makes it possibly the most universally useful cordless vac to date.  Unfortunately, it's also priced accordingly.

I know I would be interested depending on the price even though I have a CT-SYS which I would not part with for a cordless version. I can see use for both.

Systainer based cordless vac would be fantastic. The Ct-sys but corded/cordless option would be perfect. To get me to leave the Dewalt 20v platform theyre going to have to really up their options though. Drill, impact, blower, inflator, chopsaw all the same batteries. I don't see a portable battery bank being the answer for me, but it is interesting.

That^.
Likely doesn't matter to the hobby people working in their sheds here but to the tradespeople working on sites its a big thing.

Just like some people like those little lightweight batteries but the people working on sites often a long way from good reliable power tebd to go for the 5 Ah batteries cos we're not running about changing batteries all day with em.
