I noticed that according to the festool website it's possible to use an 18 volt battery with the impact driver. I'm pretty sure this is an error. Or perhaps I'm just dense.  Anyway now I have a T18 and a Ti15 basic. So which battery should I have purchased? It looks like there are two lithium ion batteries that are compatible.

Yes, it's a mistakes. Sorry. I'll fix it.

You can only use 15v or lower.

In lithium 15's you'll find 3.0Ah and 2.6Ah (with the 2.6's going a bit cheaper if they're about).

Good news is you'll be able to use all of your 18's and 15's in your new cordless CARVEX and Syslite [wink]

Plus the charger you got with your 18 will charge them all.

CB tool in San Jose to the rescue! I'm currently two states away from home, but my new friend Sal went out of his way to get me a battery for my impact driver, which honestly I don't mind purchasing. He even called me the next day to make sure everything was working out for me. I've always been happy with my festool products, even when something goes a little sideways, but so often the dealers will go above and beyond to help out a customer. Proving once again why I stick with festool and continue to move away from their competitors.
