Could I get away with a small Senco compressor and an HVLP system?

The white tape should be fine for air, there are other colors that define what the tape is used for.

I have some nice pink tape on mine.  [big grin]

That is the PTFE for body pierceings.

It seems that the body of the nailer is some sort of aluminium or magnesium alloy and the thread is into this so some sort of metal thread.
I had white PTFE (Teflon) tape at home so I'm gave that a go first. Just can't try the nailer out due to son already sleeping and while the compressor is quiet, its not that quiet  [wink]

Finally go the nailer & compressor outside in the daytime and it works like a charm... A bit slow on the initial pump up and recycles every 10 nails or so, but not an issue when doing stuff as a hobby. Nice and quiet and the nailer fits my hand like a glove.

but a few years down the line I'm planning on rebuilding the back yard shed an making it insulated, heated and maybe slightly larger so there I presume I could use a framing gun at a leisurely pace.

...You've got a shop in the works Reiska?  [laughing]

Congrats on your purchases! I've got the same Senco kit and couldnt be more happy with it. Use it for wall and ceiling paneling as well as floor trimming and as a helping hand in the shop.
Curious about the Q4 gold.. I'm looking into hvlp but wouldnt like to spend a bunch. But as said.. very curious the hear about your experiences.
Did you get it from axminster? Assuming so as you mentioned earlier, they do offer fuji.

Mauri

One more thing,

did you go for the T70 or XPC Spray Gun? Gravity or suction fed?

Q4 has been a great unit for me. Get the XPc. Add 3M PPS.

Tom

I got mine from Ax and it was the Xpc gravity gun one, the new one wasn't out at the time.

I've tested the turbine, which sounds like a hoover volume wise, but haven't had a chance to spray anything with it yet... The boss wanted hand wiped stain + marine lacquer done by herself so didn't get to try spraying on the drawer project...

Nice solid feeling machine and quite quiet as far as I can tell...

And should I have waited for three weeks before ordering AX would have had a % discount going for their birthday :-(
