Cristal abrasives?

I would only be taking a guess, but it's likely because the RO 90 was originally developed for the automotive sanding. Cristal is for wood. Not sure what your application is, but Granat is a great long-lasting abrasive and is available down to 40 grit.

I have the Granat from 40-220 for the RO90 and RO150. I also have saphire 24 and 36 for the RO150. I did see that cristal was available for the delta pad. I am stripping lots of paint off doors and my cedar garage. I am going to try the cristal out for the RO150. I'm thinking about getting the RAS115 and LS130 to finish the project but I'm not sure if the LS130 will be aggressive enough to remove the paint in all the profiles and groves.

I own an LS 130 but I've never used it for anything aggressive, only finish sanding. It does have a large stroke, 4mm (5/32"). So, with a low grit paper, it should be able to strip pretty well. The RAS is a stripping monster.
Just be careful, because that cedar is soft and aggressive sanding, especially with the RAS, can gouge the wood if you don't keep it flat.

I have used the LS130 down to 60gr Cristal, lower grits did not do well. I have used it to strip a couple things and it works quite well with the 60gr Cristal. A couple passes with the 60 then move to 80gr.
