I own an LS 130 but I've never used it for anything aggressive, only finish sanding. It does have a large stroke, 4mm (5/32"). So, with a low grit paper, it should be able to strip pretty well. The RAS is a stripping monster.
Just be careful, because that cedar is soft and aggressive sanding, especially with the RAS, can gouge the wood if you don't keep it flat.
