CSC SYS 50 with Incra flip fence

Years ago I had a large cabinet saw with all the bells and whistles, but I sold it because I was mainly doing sheet goods and my TS was really enough for what I was doing and I wanted to free up the space in my shop.

I just got my CSC SYS 50 and was playing around with it. For giggles I pulled out my old Incra 1000SE miter gauge to see if it would fit.  Well, the miter gauge doesn't, but the Incra flip fence fits the CSC miter gauge like it was made for it!

The Incra fence works with their flip stops and has T tracks for attaching sacrificial fences etc.

It's fantastic!

I haven't flipped the scales around yet, and I'll probably order a set of metric scales (they only cost 2 bucks!)

Great tip.  I just purchased the Benchdogs.uk fence for the CSC 50, but that may have been designed to use their own fence profile….but no micro-adjustment feature.  I just found your post and am interested in getting the Incra fence if available.  Thanks, JP

+1 on that !

Just ordered the Incra Fence on Amazon thanks to you Jujigatame, however have since come across Harvey’s version which is more than twice as pricey, but does look sweeet!
Dunno if it will fit the CSC like the Incra does.

Perhaps a side by side comparison of CSC Compatible fences is in order here
( Benchdogs vs Incra vs Harvey vs anything else)with Pros n Cons of each…😁

Anyone up for this?
Free fences will be sent by said companies to first person to volunteer!😄🤥
(kidding, kidding I have no power to make this happen😝)

But seriously, it would be awesome if there was some kind of compatibility list for this one.
(On the Harvey’s page if you scroll down you get some specs, that may be helpful in
determining compatibility prior to purchasing…)

On top of all that, it would be great to see a Woodpeckers take on this sometime in the future, AND to be honest I can’t say I’ll be able to resist shelling out whatever $$$ if Festool themselves decide to give us an upgraded fence for this magnificent magical mini-monster of theirs…😋🤩😛
( what’s that you say Festool? It’s already in the works is it???yay!!!🤣🤣🤣)

In any case …agree with Jujigatames verdict of the CSC…absolutely outstanding!

The Benchdogs fence looks great, and I was going to order it, but before I did, I figured out the Incra worked and I already owned it! I also like that I can switch between the Incra and stock in literally seconds, and it's basically effortless.  The Benchdogs requires slight modification and is more involved to switch back.

The Harvey looks great too, but you can't just order the fence like you can with Incra, you need the whole miter gauge.

I also LOVE Incra's stuff.  It's like Woodpeckers, but gold.

I wonder if TSO is listening.

I’m not a fan of the fact that the bench dogs version requires an additional adapter plate, which cuts down on the depth of cut. I’m surprised by that direction and considering the fact that you can swap the miter fence with the rip fence and pick up a stop I’ll be at not with the same functionality as the bench dogs or the Incra- but still- seems like an odd decision. my guess is the bench dogs team didn’t want to carry two different fence products so they use the adapter plate to simplify production and their product offerings

Woodpeckers already has it.
With (to my knowledge) the best miter slide available period.
I've got a couple floating around in my shop.

When extending the fence to near its maximum do you find the piece your cutting drops much or does the use of a clamp to hold it flat suffice?
I’m considering this or the bench dog version and noticed on the bench dogs one they offer a piece which fits to the underneath of the fence to support longer lengths.

I turn the saw so the built in support on the cart supports the piece...

But I also clamp most everything I cut to the sliding table.

Thanks for the reply. Received my CSC SYS 50 today and ordered the flip fence and flip stop.
Have you found anything off the shelf that can slide in the T track on the rear and butt up to the CSC mitre gauge? Thinking once its calibrated, can fit a little stop in their and hopefully that will aid having to recalibrate it every time it's fitted.

No, I've never thought of that, and to be completely honest, I don't understand why you'd want it.

Reason for wanting to be able to remove/refit it, would be to store it away when not in use. I'm not in a large garage or workshop so having this out permanently is not an option.
I've got access to a 3D printer so when the fence arrives I'll see if I can knock something up. Thinking a piece in the track with a threaded insert, and a block should all that have to be made. Then I'll get a bolt to clamp it together once the fence has been calibrated.

How do you go about calibrating the scale on the incra fence each time you put it on the saw, or do you only use reference measurements when setting the stop making the scale largely irrelevant?

Does your Incra fence bottom touch the top of the table surface? Does it sit flush to table top?
I have old fence I wanted to use but it floats 1/4 inch from table top.

I'm thinking of doing the same downsizing of my table saw that you did? Do you ever miss your full size saw?

Thanks for the tip on the Incra fence. I couldn't use one on my Inca table saw, but I have one for my band saw.

Has anyone tried the Jessem miter fence? I'm pretty sure you would have to use their miter slot rail.
