The blade on my table saw is slightly off alignment. I can see lots of options for the blade being tilted etc, but not if it’s out of alignment with the miter slot.

How can I correct this?

I'm assuming the other edge of your ruler is on the miter fence. To rule out funny business, I'd do a test of your slider first to see if it's sliding parallel to the blade - use a dial indicator or fix a point on the sliding bed and measure to the blade front and back from that. If that's parallel, then it could be your bed is canted or the miter fence is not perpendicular. To rule out one or the other, pick another spot on the slider and see if that measures the same to the blade as the other point.

If the bed is canted, there are instructions in the manual to swivel it. If the miter gauge is off, I think there was a way to adjust it, but that would require searching this forum.

* Also test your square first above all. :P

Thanks, I’ll go through those steps.

The other end of the square is on the miter fence. I put it on that side of the blade because of the shadow on the other side.

I’ll double check the square as well. But it’s been good (imaging) but I’ll do line checks and also line it up against a woodpecker etc.

I wasn’t sure about dial indicators because the Festool mitre slot is too small. I suppose I could mount it against something parallel to the mitre?

Thanks for the info

it’s definitely the moving bed alignment. If I put a large square on the bed and move the table backwards and forwards, the square gets closer or further away from the blade depending which way the bed is moving.

I tried following the instructions in the manual, but the bolt that needs rotating moves the bed across only a small amount and not enough to align it.

I’ll contact Festool to see what they suggest.
