I have the older model CSX and its batteries are getting weak.

I believe the batteries for the new model CSX work with the old model, but will the new batteries charge on my old charger?

I didnt know they were backwards compatible. I will have to take a look at mine. Had a cxs for years ,recently bought a TXS then won a CXS on instagram lol

LOVE the new CSX batteries! Fully compatible with my drill that was purchased as soon as it was announced. No issues with using the original charger at all. Highly recommended for the extended run time and actually seems to have more power as the current flow seems better. I was using some oversized bits and I noticed it handled the load better with the larger batteries. Could just be my old brain confusion but it sure seemed to work faster and easier.

To wrap this up, I received two new batteries for my old CSX and charged them. It may be my imagination, but I think the drill is much peppier than with the old batteries.

The only complaint is that the drill doesn't fit in the Sustainer with the new battery mounted. Solution, of course, is to pop off the battery before storing the drill.

I do this with my battery jigsaw so I won't accidentally grab it and start it cutting. This happened once and it really woke me up.

That'll wake you up faster than a cup of coffee... [big grin]

You'll really appreciate the extended run-time, it's dramatic.
