I'm designing a rolling cabinet for my MFT/3 table and have a space that will fit a CT15 dust extractor. However, it'll be flush to the back wall along the left side of the extractor, have 2" clearance fore and aft, and the right side of the extractor will be open. Is this enough space to allow proper functioning? The goal is to have a dedicated extractor for track saw and domino use.

I have had my CT26 surrounded, except for the front, in a cabinet for over a year now. The cabinet is open in the back and stands about 2" from the back wall. This gives it plenty of room to breathe.

Yes.

The motor cooling is on the front - you need a bit of fresh air there so unless the cabinet is completely closed  this is fine. And the main air exhaust is on the side which you plan to have open.

That said, I would want the vac accessible from the front ... but you know your needs better.
