Okay so what does it take to fill a bag on the CT 26.. Christmas Present original bag
Today I found out:

10 Sheets Baltic Birch  3/4 x 4 x  8 cut to assorted widths and lengths

4 Sheets Cherry Veneer Birch  3/4 x 4 x 8 cut to assorted widths and lengths

140 5 mm Domino Holes

and the Ripping of 4 Boards of  3/4 x9" x 12' Cherry  to 1 1/2" Widths

Maybe the Dust Deputy isn't such and bad idea after all

yeah I'm always amazed at how fast these guys fill up, but its equally impressive how little is left behind. I have the CT22 and would definitely get a larger van next time.

Welcome to the fog

You don't have long to wait for the xl and the planex.. I love the look of the planex I am tempted to start drylining just so I can buy one [embarassed]

I don't like to throw away the bags when they get full, so I use a simple bag-closing device from Lee Valley--I think it's called a "Banana Clip", and it's just a 2-part plastic thing with a U-shaped channel and a rod. The rod clamps the fabric of the bag into the channel.

You cut the end of the bag, but not the last 2" on either side, and then gather the fabric as needed to fit within the grasp of the Banana Clip. You empty the bag and re-cycle--how much greener can you get? ;)

My initial concern was that the power or the CT26 would blow the clip off and let dust clog the HEPA filter, but I have used this method for several months now, and it works fine.

I still got my original bag ( I bought a 5 pack for spares but havent used them)

I just empty the dust into the trash can and go on.
Takes me about 3 minutes

I have a Ct33 and I have emptied the bag 5-6 times before I replaced it.

I have a CT22 and I have been considering this attachment to help improve dust collection and reduce the number of filter nags I go through. I am thinking that this is probably old news to many but just I case I thought I would pass it along since you have been talking about filter bags and such. What i really like about this setup is how nicely it nests with the Festool dust extractors. Maybe somebody has used this unit and can comment on how effective it is....if I get one I plan to build a modified boom arm for may tools. I'll happily share this project once it gets started.

Best to all, John
