Hi, I want to purchase a dust extractor to go with my TS55. It will be predominantly used for cutting fibre cement sheeting. Is the CT 36 E AC HD for concrete dust the right extractor for the job? Thanks
Hi.....and welcome to the forum
Yes that is correct for concrete. Rather than using the TS have you considered the AG125 FS diamond system Festool produce ?

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't considered the AG 125 but it is something I'll look at in the near future. Can I use this dust extractor for other materials? Can it also be used as a wet/dry vacuum?

sorry to open up such an old thread but I saw there was an HD model of CT 36 and couldn't find much of any info on it. Does the HD have more power or something?

No, The only difference is the HD models have a different top - they do not have a top hose garage. Usually they were coupled with the Planex holder and sold with the flexible Planex hoses.
The "HD" were similar to what the CT15/25 are compared to a MINI/MIDI. Just even more extreme as there was not even the "mini" garage the CT 15/25 have present.
They are no longer offered (at least in Europe) but the "garageless" top parts can still be bought as spares and retrofitted on a "normal" CT 26/36/48 vac.
Electrically and everything else they were the same as all CT 26/36/48 series vacs.
