Hi, new to FESTOOL and loving my Planex 2 and CT 36 E AC.  I tried the search and can't seem to find an answer.  I'm mostly using the CT 36 E AC with the Planex 2 and the plastic liner.  I was wondering if I can use it with a compact cleaning set and treat it like a normal shop vac after my workday with the Planex, IF I still have the plastic liner inside half full of drywall dust.  Is there any negative effects to the CT36, the HEPA filter, or the plastic liner?  I'd be mostly vacuuming up sawdust or a bit of dirt or dust.  Sorry for the noob question

You can absolutely treat it like a normal shop vac as set up. The dirt and dust shouldn't be a problem, the only thing I've noticed is that if there are lots of larger sawdust chips/particles, they can get caught in the filter pleats and create a loss of suction. If you find yourself vacuuming up primarily sawdust (ie: done with drywall and using it as a woodshop vacuum), you can always exchange the plastic bags for fleece ones to keep this from happening.

As nvalinski said, shouldn't be a prob.

I did this for about a month for one main reason; i'm lazy, haha. Worked fine.

I have used mine that way for quite a few large projects (over 200 sheets total) and never had an issue.  Once I am done with the drywall completely I switch over to the HEPA filter and standard bag.  When its time for drywall I put a liner and drywall filter back in until time to change over again.  I have used it with the CT separator as well with good success.
