I'm contemplating getting rid of my large dust collector and using my CT 36 with a dust deputy and a 55-gallon drum. I really only use my existing collector on the thickness planer and table saw. My reasons for wanting to get rid of it is that it's noisy, if I let the bag get past half full it pulls out of the band clamp and sprays dust everywhere and is underpowered @ 350cfm. I've read all about the static issues with the DD and CT, so I will buy the SD version. I am a bit confused though as to whether or not it's necessary to use an antistatic hose between the DD and the tool. I know I need AS hose between vac and DD but would rather not spend the extra $$ on a 50mm AS hose if not necessary. Anyone have any thoughts/opinions on this setup? Thanks in advance.
