Agreed. A larger hose helps nothing with tools like the sanders, jigsaws, and Domino Joiners. I use a short 36mm hose on the Kapex.rvieceli said:Snip.
I find bigger diameter hoses a bit too bulky for sanding work and they don’t really help with extraction and prefer to use the smaller diameter Festool hose.

Like CRG mentioned, beware of shocks when using a non-anti static hose. I use a 22/27 tapered hose for just about everything. The routers, planer and general cleanup get a 36 mm hose while the Kapex gets a 50 mm hose.
