Hi FOG,
I have an old(ish) CT midi that stopped and I thought needed new motor brushes (it did!) BUT when i reconnected the motor it worked for 30s and then the smell/ appearance of the blue . grey smoke was too rapid and the motor burnt out.
I have a new motor but i am loathed to just connect it in case there is a deeper problem with the PCB the controls the motor speed etc. I have a pic of the waveform from the board when the motor is open circuit and this wasn't what i expected to see - does anyone know what the waveform should be and if this indicates that a new PCB is required?
Thanks
Tim
