There was a discussion a few years ago about the Dust Deputy shorting out controller boards, and Shane also mentioned hearing of NAS hoses also accomplishing this.

I know Festool doesn't approve of any third-party accessories, which I know to be a pretty standard legal response. What about the ones Festool sell? For example, 452879. In the description, it mentions capability to attach to a tool. Are these hoses safe to use with the CTs and any Festool tool?

The non-antistatic hoses (including the 452879) can be used on any of our CT Dust Extractors or any relevant Festool tools. As you mentioned, we just can't comment on using the 452879 on a non-Festool tool.

That's what I figured, but it's good to have it explicitly stated. Thanks.

Just an aside, I've used a basic DD setup on a CT Mini (first gen) for years with no issue.
Removed the right angle con. at the vac and run the hose from DD straight down into the vac.
