To all those whom have fought the CT dust extractor hose on any and all edges while using their Festool tools. I have come up with a solution which works very efficiently. This material is commonly used in the television mobile industry and the nick name is referred to as "Snake Skin/cable sleeving". This is a plastic type woven wrapper that can be purchased online from several suppliers. ROUNDIT 2000 1- 1/2 Blk.
I purchased 1 1/2" black product that self-raps around the 27mm Festool hose easily. I used Velcro straps to hold the sleeving at each end of the 27mm hose and the power cord in also held inside the sleeving. Now the extractor hose freely slides over my MFT and any other oblige edge with both the hose and power cord held within. This has improved greatly my working with all my Festool electromechanical tools. And makes for far less frustration with sanding and sawing in my shop, plus the power cord is not under foot. The photo attached demonstrates that it have two different sanders and two different power cords in this arrangement.
