CT with Seperater

Hi,
   This sort of goes along the same lines as the CT with cyclone and 850 topic. Has anyone used the CT  with one of those black , lid unit separaters that fit either a trash can or 5 gallon bucket? Anygood?  With which tools, etc?

  I have used the ones that fit on a 30 gallon trash can. They get the big chips, but the fine dust goes through and plugs up your filters. The cyclones cost a lot more but filter most of the fine dust so even on a shop vac you don't have to clean the filters very often(just dump the bucket). You do have to seal around the cyclone drum completely or the fine dust will get sucked through.

I asked a similar question on another forum.  I got some feedback that said that they didn't work well.  You may want to do a search on WoodNet and Sawmill Creek; it was one of those two.
