CT15 Dust Extractor

Greetings,

Yesterday I finally found a DF500 Domino for sale on the Festool recon site and I immediately ordered it. I would like to purchase a CT15 dust extractor to use with the domino and later with a rotex sander.

Will the rotex and domino switch the CT15 on when I turn them on?  I know the CT15 does not have Bluetooth but I think the is more useful with cordless tools.

Yes, it will work exactly like that.  Connect the tool to the CT, auto mode, pull the trigger and the CT will also start.

The only other thing that I would mention on this is that the CT 15 comes with a non-anti static hose. While that should not affect the Domino in a material way it could affect the Rotex sander as sanders tend to generate more static. Where you are located and how dry it gets there certainly makes a difference as well.

Mine are Pro90 sanders. The CT15 and non-static hose work well with them, as well as with two other non-Festool sander/belt sander. The only feature I don't like about the CT15 is its membrane switch. I need to push hard (as compared to the CT26's knob switch I had) every time I use it.

I received my CT15 dust extractor recently. I also ordered a systainer for my dominos and cutters (I didn't purchase the systainer with dominos/cutters initially) and I ordered a new Rotex RO90. I will continue to monitor Festoolrecon.com for an RO125.

I used the CT15 with my Dewalt orbital sander. Wow, no dust anywhere. I love this extractor. Now I can make another run at cleaning my shop and keep it that way. Well, the Ridgid miter make a lot of dust - but sanding won't!  ;D Maybe I'll purchase a Kapex if one comes up on the recon site.
