CT15e dust extractor. Shutting off and red light

I have a Ct15e dust extractor that is mostly used with my festool ets 125 sander. Both about one year old. Used for sanding wood mostly but sometimes epoxy finish. Worked fine first 9 months or so.
A couple months ago the vacuum would shut off while sanding and solid bottom red light. Unplug a few seconds and it works again but will shut down again soon after sanding. Tried new bag and filter and it seemed to work fine again but if I sand epoxy coating it shuts down with red light again.
Now it seems as though I can sand cedar for hours but as soon as I sand the epoxy coating it will shut down soon after. It sometimes will do it with pine. It’s not overheating as I can turn it on cold and if I do epoxy it will shut down. Vacuum the epoxy dust without sander shuts it off also.
Anyone have ideas what’s going on? Is different dust making it think the bag is full or something?
I’m frustrated and baffled. Is there a sensor that’s causing this?

I also tried sanding some drywall just to see if that will cause the fault and after about 15 seconds of sucking fine drywall dust it shuts down with red light again.
It runs fine until it sucks up the dust. Seems so weird to me. Hope someone can help me out.

The fleece bags cannot be used for drywall dust because the fine particles clog the bag and eliminate suction quickly.  I'm not sure it's as quickly as you describe, but it's a real thing.

The epoxy coating you're using may very well be doing the same thing.

You might be on to something. It happens fast so it’s not overheating issue but is there a shut off for full bag? Like it’s clogging and it shuts off because it thinks the bag is full? I’m really not sure though as it seems to have good suction when it shuts down.
I don’t see much else for bag options for the Ct15e.
I called the help line and they weren’t any help. Super frustrating. I’ll probably have to send it in for repair but I’m not sure if they can fix or if they can replicate the issue as it’s such an odd problem.
At this point I’m out of ideas and feel like selling the thing and try something else.

Any remedy to your CT15? I had the same problem when sanding epoxy products but now it just happens all the time rendering the vac useless.

New bag, blew out the filter, cleaned out the dusty control board. Still no consistency with this vac.

I ended up sending my ct15 in for warranty service. It looks like they replaced the main control screen and the turbine. Seems like just throwing parts at it but who knows.  Ended up being quite a mix up when they shipped it back to me as they sent me someone else’s vacuum that was in for repair (total different model) ended up sending that back to them and they finally had to ship me a new ct15. Frustrating but they made it right and stuff happens.
  I just hope this new one won’t have the same issues. These should be able to handle epoxy and other coating dusts. Was never able to make any sense of it.

I’d suggest sending yours in for repair if you’re under warranty.
