CT22-33 inlet adapter?

Has anyone found a 90 degree fitting to use on the inlet of the CT22-33 vacuums? I am really tired of the 50mm hose trying to make that right angle turn and sticking out so far. My shop is very tight and an elbow fitting would save me from stepping over-around the hose all the time. Thanks.

Festool don't do a 90 degree connector for the 50mm hose - there is one available that works with D22 and D27 hoses, but not D50.

The only thing that might help is the Y connector (452898), but that will only turn it through 45 degrees - might give some relief, though.

You could source something elsewhere, but you would be sacrificing the AS capability...

I take it you have the boom arm. If you do, I use the vac hose holder. It keeps the hose from slipping and sticking out so far. Saw where Per had used it in one of his posts.

I've also read where 90* reduce the SFM on dust collectors so I guess that it would do the same on the vacs.

Two Y connectors perhaps? Pricey, but might save some space.

The Y isn't going to work for him because is sticks out pretty far, remember he's trying to reduce how far the hose sticks out from the vac to save some space.

Yep - fighting with a boom arm - that I love!!. I have an Oneida cyclone sitting on top of the vac and the 50mm hose is going straight up. I realize a 90 degree fitting might reduce the suction. Wish the vacuum was designed to have alternate inlet ports like one maybe on the side to give other hose routing options.
