Hi Folks,
I bought a CT22 extractor and a TS75 plunger around 2010 and I have not used them very much. I really like the saw and the rail system. The dust extractor, however, developed a short fairly early on and due to my hobbyist status, I never addressed the problem. When I contacted Festool USA a few years ago, I was told that it would cost me $125 plus shipping for them to address it even though it was still in warranty. Sometimes I can get it to start up by giving the area around the switches a gentle bump. I really don't want to tear into this thing and I don't want to have to pay a lot for something that should have just worked correctly from the beginning. My much older Fein has had a lot more use and has never failed me. I want to like Festool's entire system, but I'd really like to see a simple resolution to this issue. Thanks in advance for any advice.
