Has anyone tried running a power splitter out of one of the dust vacs so that two or more tools are permanently plugged in and ready to go? Not necessarily running at once, but for my instance so as to not have to change back and forth.
While on the electrical scene, does anyone have any suggestions on a power cord reel for job site better then what you would get at the Depot? Thanks Eric

Absolutely, you bet, all the time, each and every day.

I run 12 g three ways on both vacs and some times that still not enough outlets.

You are two All American heroes, I cannot wait to get to work tomorrow, if I could only sleep now.

Thanks for all replies.  After some searching on FOG's Amazon Store it seems like power cable reels that aren't permanently mounted are either really cheap or real expensive.  So does anyone have any recommendations for one in the $100.00 range that hold up to on site rigors or a good supplier for that type of product?  Thanks Eric

Another alternative is this:http://www.leevalley.com/wood/page.aspx?c=2&p=56637&cat=1,240,41065.  I connected mine like this to allow other tools to use the CT's auto-start feature while a plugit cord was attached to my Boom Arm:

Eric,

See what Dan has above?

This is exactly the same one I use.

From the same source.

I just couldn't find it this morning.

Thanks Dan.

Hi,

When I first read the title of this thread I thought - a ct22 powering some type of splitter. You know like a wood splitter.  ???

Per and Dan, thanks for the replies.  I will be ragin that.  You guys are massive and I really enjoy your posts and intel.  I got one today at the Depot, unfortunately and it is not the same but smaller, in my experience generally not as good on site.  It looks like I may mount it to ct22 and boom arm that my Timmy c is sending me Tuesday.  I want that to run everything through that for now.  I have officially hit the point where I'm saying, "The next festool I get, I should see what it is with ct 33?"  Brilliant

I use a six outlet box for power, and sometimes have a spare outlet. If I had a three way blast gate for vac hose, I'd be totally satisfied.  ;D
