CT26 secondary power outlet installation

Thx for the explanation. So the tap adapter may work for some but not others. I'm unfamiliar with the CT26 BT, and how or why the addition of a tool would disable its use.
...
There is one "upgrade" slot on the CT26/36/48 series vacs.

It can be used either for the Bluetooth and compressed air pickups, or for the additional socket modules per this thread.

I hated having to plug and unplug various tools into the CT, and really didnt like the hose with built in plug it for the same reason. I made a plywood platform with 3d printed adapters that attach to top of a systainer. On that platform I attached a simple 6 outlet plug strip so that I only plug into CT with a cord once a day, and various tools are plugged in and stay that way all day. I also routed a slot in platform so circular saw can sit there and not tip over. I have tripped the breaker on the plug strip maybe twice in 5 yrs. I really live this set up

There is one added advantage of not plugging into and unplugging from the main socket on the CT unit itself: eliminating the chance of wearing out the socket prematurely, which may require its replacement. I use a short cord and a tap adapter to provide extra power outlets and for ease of access.

Sorry, can't help with that as I'm in Europe and we run on 220V here.

For the CT MIDI & MINI, it's a 3-way adapter plugged into the Festool outlet...similar to what Chuck showed.

For the CT 22, it's a SYS-PowerHub plugged into the Festool outlet.
