For those that have an xcarve I found out (multiple times) that static charged vacuum tubes are bad. Two or three times now I have generated a charge using my shop vac and it stalled my projects and I had to start them over. Loosing the zero sucks to line back up! Everything is grounded per spec but the electronics have very little shielding.

Moral of the story is use the ct with the grounded hoses. No issues. ;)

As in antistatic hoses, right?

How do you like the xCarve?  Curious what kinds of work you are using it for.

Yes. Antistatic hose sorry.

The xcarve is pretty nice piece of kit for the price. Only issue I have had is getting the endstop switches to work. However you don't need them to run. Easel is ok. I purchased vcarve pro which is a great program.

Definitely get the xcontroller it makes wiring and getting it up and running much easier.

Right now I'm making some menu card holders for my wedding to my enabler.
