Hello Fellow Festoolers,

I cut my first 10 sheets of plywood today using my new TS55/CT36 combo and immediately realized I needed to do something with the hose.

Looking at the festool website there are two options (besides boom arm) to get the hose off the floor,

I can't quite tell which would suit my needs best because the descriptions don't make them sound very different.

Can anyone help me figure out which item does what best?

Thanks in advance,
alan

Hose holder. Keeps the hose at work level and can also double as a hose hook for hose storage.

Welcome to the FOG Alan!  Between these two accessories I think you want the hose holder.  As Bob already posted the hose holder holds the hose up off the floor, the hose hook is a small hook to store the hose when not in use.  The hose hook came out before the Festool introduced the hose garage.

I did a very short write up on the hose holder, really just a few lines and a couple of pictures, check it out on my website by clicking here.

Bob and Brice,

Thank you both for the quick responses.  Those were the exact answers I needed.  Ill be ordering the hose holder tomorrow.

Along with the hose holder, I would also highly recommend using the hose sleeve material used in this thread Review of CT Midi by Wood Junkie. Because the ribs on the hose will get caught on your work table or work piece even when using a boom arm or the hose holder. I used ~6' lengths on each of my 5 hoses. This is especially important when routing with edging bits as the hose can become caught and cause you to tip the router.

Wood Junkie gives info on ordering further down in the thread. I got the green so it's easier for my old eyes to find.
