Here it is LIVE: CTL SYS.
And it's a beauty!
It's the first in Holland/Europe/World?

How about a couple pictures of  the two units separated and how they connect?

What does the interior of the top one look like without the hose and cord inside?

Seth

More letters for sure but I wonder if they would have been better off using "transportable" as opposed to mobile. Since everything else is on wheels, it sort of makes mobile an odd term to use for this I think.

I'm curious if the handle is molded to the bottom of the top systainer or the top of the bottom systainer.

Very cool, thanks for sharing.  Cant wait til it arrives here, that's if it does.

CTL SYS consist of 2 systainers: SYS 1 on top and SYS 2 on bottom.
Handle is fixed and attached to top systainer.
The blower is back, like on the CT 22/33/44.
Bottom systainer can function without top systainer and is ideal for carrying on a ladder or in a rucksack.
Only the strap cannot connect to the bottom systainer.
But you can put the systainer front handle to it to carry it vertical.
Here are some more pictures.

We all are dying to know (especially [member=13337]Scott B.[/member]), is the black plastic going to hold up?? [tongue] [big grin]

On one of the pictures you already see a stain on the black plastic lid.
But I still like the look of the two tone systainers. It's a more pronounced look then the "dull light-grey".
But indeed the black gets a dusty look very quickly and that for a vacuum.

The clips that secure the strap look similar in size to the clip that can attach the briefcase-style handle to the front of the systainer. Can the strap clips be removed, rotated 90 degrees, and slid into the same place that the briefcase handle would?

Oh, very cool, the bottom unit is fully functional without the top unit. That means a larger regular systainer could be attached to the top or bottom of the vac unit. With the hose in the regular systainer along with other tools for an even more compact package.

I think the CTL-SYS presents some nice new options. For example - how about two vacs in one. Attach the CTL-SYS to the top of a regular CT. Placed on a Mini this would provide two vacs in a very compact space.

Elfick you're absolutely right about the clips for the carry strap.
These clips can be disconnected and secured on the front of the bottom Systainer where the name plate is normally placed.

Very cool. I gotta read up more on the CTL SYS. At first, I couldn't think of why not just use a normal dust extractor (CT, etc.)...but I think back to the hassle when I'm on a ladder and don't have a long enough hose...so I'm carrying a vacuum with me.

Looks great, thanks for posting. I was working in a very tight attic space today and this would have been ideal!

That's quick indeed. I tried to order it from my closest local dealer but it was no go. Where did you order it Neeleman? An how much did you pay?

And is the suction acceptable?

The suction is very good, it's still a 1,000 W motor!
You shouldn't use it for heavy duty cleaning like planing or routing, only sanding or light cleaning afterwards.
The only thing that's missing is the suction regulator.
I wish Festool makes a simple machine adapter which is adjustable just like the HSK-A sanding blocks. Problem solved!

I bought the CTL SYS for €322 incl. VAT at De Jong Gereedschappen in Rotterdam. And I also got 5 cleaning bags for free.
He has a special relationship with Festool NL and (had) the only 2 available for the public in the Netherlands/Europe/World.
As you can understand they were both sold out today!
Even my favourite dealer Gerschwitz can't deliver till the 8th of April.
