Did a quick search and didn't find anything. Has anyone used the Cubitron II film sanding discs on a Rotex RO-90? I just bought the interface pad and a few grits of the Extract net abrasive for my 5" sanders, but haven't been able to find an interface pad for the 3". I am thinking about trying the film backed Cubitron II on my 90, but if someone else already has, I would like to hear how it performs and if there are any issues with the hook and loop.

I use the 3M with my 150 ETS EC sanders with an interface pad, and in a pinch have also often used them with my RO90 without an interface pad with no issues at all. Just keep in mind they wear a little faster than the Festool Granat, but they cut really well and so long as you don't overly bear down you won't have any trouble with the velcro.

I was actually using the 150 tonight for around 30 minutes or so, and despite the disc wear pulled off like it was new.

Jeff - the RO 90 uses 3.5 inch disks. If you are thinking of trying the 3 inch disks I fear that even with the pads you’ll mess up the hooks on your sander pad.

You might be able cut down the larger disks but seems easier to use Granat net.

Yeah, I suppose if I actually did the math I would have realized 3" isn't even close to 90mm.

Luckily, I was still waffling and hadn't ordered anything yet. Guess I will stick to Granat on the RO-90.

But, I am looking forward to giving the Extract a try out on the RO-125 and the ETS-125.
